Within the Company's policy of maintaining a special interest in children as the nucleus of the future, GPIC has provided financial support for the Bahraini Society for Child Development.

H.E. Dr. Hassan bin Abdullah Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce and Chairman of the Society, received the donation during his recent visit to the GPIC complex, in the presence of Mr. Anwar Saeed bin Salama, Managing Director of the Company.

Mr. Abdulrahman Jawahery, GPIC President, stated that the Company, under the guidance of its Board of Directors, chaired by H.E. Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, is very keen to support various associations, institutions and national clubs that contribute their efforts and services to the development of community groups within Bahrain. In particular, Mr. Jawahery praised the quality of the services provided by the Bahraini Society for Child Development, under the chairmanship of the minister.

For his part, H.E Dr. Fakhro offered his thanks for the generous donation, which will contribute to the support of programmes and activities of the Society, enabling it to achieve its objectives. He praised GPIC's stance in the promotion and development of social services, allowing them to be upgraded to the highest levels.

The Bahraini Society for Child Development endeavours in a variety of ways in order to care for and serve children, including health concerns, legal and cultural aspects, socially and via events designed to discover and develop children's talents.
